Airplane Factory Competition: Students learned about how a market economy works...with a little friendly competition. Each group represented a factory making paper airplanes, then competed to market and sell their airplanes to the designated consumers.

6th grade students have the opportunity to experience Lake Superior and The Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore by attending a class field study in June. This past year while cruising the shoreline students were greeted by Kate Crowley and expedition partner, Mike Link, creators of the educational web site titled, "Full Circle: A Journey Around the Greatest Lake". In the video above, three 6th grade students were interviewed by Kate Crowley telling of their experience and why they were on a field study to the Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore. The video also includes narration from the captain of the cruise ship and beautiful footage of the rocks.
