Lower El - Mrs. Boyer

Hello, my name is Maribeth Boyer. Lapeer has been my hometown since I was four years old. Ever since I was little I always dreamed of helping others, and so a teacher I became.   I earned my Bachelor of Science in elementary education from the University of Michigan.  GO BLUE!  I have been teaching here, at Chatfield School since 2003, seven wonderous years.  During this time I have taught kindergarten, first grade and second grade.  I have also completed a Master of Science in Literacy and Math.

Other than being a teacher I am a wife and  mother of two teenagers.  My husband Jim is both supportive and caring, he has inspired me to be all I can be.  My fourteen year old daughter and aspiring photographer, Breanna will be a freshman at Lapeer East this year.  While my twelve year old son, Bailey, will be attending the seventh grade at Chatfield School. Bailey wishes to become a Pro Skater or play professional soccer for the Los Angles Galaxy.

Family time is very important to me, so outside of school I spend my time with family and friends.  Yes, I'm the mom who carts all kids around, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

My classroom is filled with learning, laughter, and life.  I am a dedicated teacher whom finds the best in my students.  I also believe that making a connection between home and school is vital.  Parents are openly invited to participate in thier child's learning, and parent/child/teacher communication is encouraged.
